A UX Case Study for an Ed-Tech Platform

Keeping up with advanced vocabulary and sentence structures can be difficult for non-native English speakers in today's fast-paced world. Newspresso is a personalized article recommendation service designed for intermediate to advanced English learners to help with this challenge.
As a UXUI designer, I collaborated with a cross-functional team to create a profitable MVP within a 3-month timeframe. I was responsible for designing the Reading UX flow and the My Page, Notification system, Pin, and bookmark features. To ensure a successful outcome, I conducted extensive UX research and participated in weekly meetings with the team to discuss progress and iterate on the prototype. Our efforts resulted in a convenient and intuitive reading experience proven through user testing.

In a fiercely competitive global language education industry, our company is staying ahead of the game with an innovative Lean Startup approach. Within three months, each team should develop a minimum viable product (MVP) to demonstrate its potential for success. We aimed to generate revenue in the first month, achieve sustainability, and expand our customer base.
Our workbook and e-learning services have been highly successful, generating over $50 million annually. However, we recognized the need to reduce costs by eliminating publishing and video editing fees through digitalization. Therefore, we aimed to automate the content generation process as well.
